Good Audio Is Essential for a Successful Video

Think about the last good movie you saw. I mean the really good one. Chances are that movie had a great soundtrack; that’s how those things works. A great soundtrack makes a good movie that much better. The same goes for your video. Your sound makes all the difference. That soundtrack is like a marketing campaign for the movie or video; it makes the viewer remember it.

The success of any video is dependent upon its sound quality. You may have never realized this before, but take a moment to think about it. The ultimate goal of any video marketing campaign is to promote its subject so well that it increases sales, recognition, and eventually brand value. A lot of effort goes into the directing and presentation; and this includes the sound.

This is especially true of videos used for online advertising. Those videos are usually short and must grab the viewer’s attention immediately; before they click away to the next screen. Dialogue can help grab a viewer’s attention, assuming that the language is right for the viewer, but music can often do the job all on its own, especially if it is done right.

Good audio plays a very important role in whether a video marketing campaign is successful or not. Thus, any little imperfection in the sound can ruin the whole thing. Corporate or training videos use both audio and visual strategies. They should match perfectly; they should be well synchronized with no hiccups. A great jingle can make all the difference.

It is essential to team with a professional production company to create videos of superior quality. Professional videos can have a profound impact on your audience. The sound or audio aspect of a video really should be handled by experienced professionals with the right skill set.

Many people do go ahead and create their own videos and publish them on various websites. Then they suffer the consequences which include bad reviews, negative publicity and even ridicule. Viewers are not patient or even tolerant; they do not want to waste their time watching poor quality videos and they will let everyone know. Save yourself the pain and hire a respected production company. It will be well worth your money.

Video marketing is actually an art which requires training and experience. We business people know where we want our video marketing campaign to take us. We just do not know how to go about getting there. A professional video producer will know how to incorporate good quality audio into a successful video marketing campaign.

Good sound gives life to a video. It allows the message to be more vividly expressed and stay in the mind of the viewer. It is very cost effective and has successfully replaced more traditional methods of promoting many products. However, any video marketing campaign should be done properly with skilled professionals from a reputable production company or it may backfire and come back to haunt you.

How To Prepare A Voice Over Demo

Are you considering a career in voice overs? One of the most important steps you can take, is to prepare a demo that showcases your voice talent.

The ideal way to create your demo is to enlist the help of a voice coach and a top studio or company that specializes in creating demos for voice artists. If you don’t have access to any of these resources, you can still do the demo yourself. Why not do some research, and see what makes the top voice over artists so successful? I suggest visiting some voice talent websites, and listening to their demos.

Whenever you are ready to record your demo, select a script for each category of voice overs business. Sample categories may include: audiobook narration, commercials, on hold messages, cartoon/character voices, e learning and any other business category that interests you. Find a script that interests you, and record it over and over until it sounds right.

Showcase Your Range

The number one goal of the demo is to show exactly what you can do. So, you want it to showcase your range.

Here are some things you can do:

· Expose people to your signature cartoon voices.

· Read a radio spot so that people can hear how you’ll sound in commercials.

· Grab a book and read a paragraph or two.

· Read through a short script similar to those you’d find in corporate training materials.

In other words, you want to do a little bit of everything, making sure to really highlight the things you are good at. For example, if you love reading books out loud, you may want to consider adding that clip towards the beginning.

On the other hand, if you don’t have any unique voices, you can leave it out. It all depends on where your skills are. There is a market for nearly every kind of voice. All you have to do is figure out where you want to focus. You want your demo to sound as professional as possible, and it is very difficult to get the kinds of results that you’ll need to win jobs at your home studio unless you are an expert at production. Even though it can be expensive, it is a worthwhile investment. Once your demos are ready, you can showcase them on your own website, or can post them on various voice talent websites.

Now that you have the demo, your next step is to use this demo to help you land your first job and pretty much every other job after that. Once you are more established, you may get a lot of repeat clients who won’t need to see your demo again.

Who to Submit the Demos To

Your first step is to figure out who you will submit the demos to. There are some ideas:

· Local agents to see if they will represent you.

· As a response to a gig listing that you find online or in the local area.

· Creative directors at major companies and at radio stations

These are just some ideas. Remember that since you are new to the game you shouldn’t rule anything out until you’ve at least landed your first job. It also helps to be aggressive in your approach and send out demos on a daily basis until you get the work you want.

Are You Toxic? Detoxify Your Way to Looking and Feeling Younger in Just 21 Days!

If you’re wondering what I’m talking about please keep reading. Is your body overloaded with chemicals, poisons, trans-fats, food additives, pesticides, insecticides, mercury, chloride, fluoride, artificial sweeteners and so on? Unfortunately, many of these are unavoidable because they are everywhere in our environment. The problem is they are detrimental to your health.

The symptoms of toxicity are; feeling sluggish, headaches, skin rashes, sleep problems, weight gain, sinusitis, allergies, joint pain, asthma, immune disorders, hormonal imbalances, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, flatulence, arthritis, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and trouble learning. All of these can be created from an overloaded, toxic body.

How does this happen you ask? Hmmmm, ask yourself this; what have you eaten in the past 3 days? Sugar, refined carbs, fast food, fried anything, soda, caffeine, alcohol, artificial sweeteners, tap water, canned soups or vegetables, pastries, bagels, potato chips, crackers – you got it, everything you love and crave. And, how long have you been eating this way?

Ask yourself another question – What’s in your cosmetics, hairspray, nail polish, moisturizer, and hair products? Did you know that most of the hair straighteners used in salons contain the very toxic formaldehyde? Yuck!

How about household cleaners, carpeting, paint, flooring, adhesives, deodorizers, softeners, scented candles, whiteners? All toxic! How’s the air out there? Is your water purified? Is your indoor air purified? Do you eat organic foods or at least wash the pesticides, insecticides and preservatives from your foods before you ingest them? Do you take over the counter and/or prescribed medications? Do you smoke?

I could go on but some of you have probably already stopped reading and I don’t want to lose any more of you. Here’s the real problem. Your body has three options when dealing with toxins, it can:

Bury them in fat

Deposit them in the tissues

Remove them

If your organs of detoxification (liver, kidneys, lungs, skin, lymph, colon, blood, and thyroid) are burdened with an abundance of these toxins you lose the ability to remove them. The symptoms and results are; weight gain, muscle and joint pain, arthritis, poor circulation, constipation, diarrhea, congestion, allergies, headaches, skin eruptions, trouble sleeping, loss of libido, increased cholesterol, increased triglycerides, altered kidney function, weak adrenals, blood toxicity, shallow breathing, decreased energy, hormonal dysregulation, bad breath/body odor, chemical sensitivities, repeated colds/flu, sinus infections, increased blood pressure, nausea, fibromyalgia and on and on.

Well, are you toxic? Even the most diligent, healthy eater will need to detoxify for optimal health. As you can see, so much of the toxicity in our bodies comes from unavoidable sources. If you truly want better health you need to be pro-active and decide to rid your body of the #1 cause of illness today.

Who should detox? Anyone wanting to:

Increase energy/vitality

Decrease symptoms of ill-health

Lose weight

Sleep better

Improve mental clarity

Control sweet cravings

Increase libido

Decrease cholesterol/triglycerides

Look younger

Feel better

Ongoing maintenance of optimal health

Hormonal regulation

And, so much more.

The best and safest way to detoxify is to choose a well supported whole-foods detoxification program. It is not safe to embark on a cleansing program that requires fasting or involves the latest fads.

Don’t wait until you develop a life threatening disease. The choice for a healthy life is yours, choose wisely!

Lunar Transits: Easiest Experiment in Vedic Astrology!

As opposed to slowly moving lord of Karma Saturn, Moon, also known as Luna (you know Lunatic!) or Chandra is a swiftly moving planet in Vedic Astrology. I have done empirical research on the transits of Moon which, up to a great extent affirms the findings of great seers of Vedic Astrology. Anyone with earnestness can find out for himself that Moon’s transits do affect the psyche to a great degree.

Moon’s transits are easy to track because they’re fast when compared to most of the other planets in Vedic Astrology. Moon takes just 2.25 days (54 hours) to pass through a sign, which also means that it comes to a zodiacal sign again by transit after 27 days. Anyone with an observant mind can track the change in his thoughts and feelings as Moon passes through various signs and comes back to his own Moon sign. This would at once prove veracity of my claims about the effect of Moon’s transits.

It’s just great if someone with patience and observance notes down the variation in his thoughts and feelings for a cycle of 27 days. After 27 days’ period he would be in a position to approve or refute the efficacy of such a method along with a judgment on truth in the effect of Moon’s transits.

If a native can find out after sustained effort, about the effect of Moon’s transit on his psyche, he would be in a position to independently infer by virtue of inductive method, that, larger heavenly bodies which take greater time in transits, such as, Jupiter and Saturn, affect a native significantly or not.

You have to do just this: Find out your Moon sign. Your Moon sign is the zodiacal sign in which Moon was placed at the time of your birth. Since Moon does not change its sign for 2.25 days, if you know the approximate time of birth, along with date of birth; you can easily find out your Moon sign. There are many websites on internet providing you your Moon sign. Once you know your Moon sign, you have to just retain in mind the order of the Moon signs. This is the order in which all the planets, including Moon transit through signs (Except retrograde planets, like Rahu(North node of Moon) and Ketu(South node of Moon), which travel in opposite order). After having done this you have to assume that your Moon sign is house number one for you and rest of the signs are houses 2, 3, 4…etc.

For example: If My Moon sign is Sagittarius-Moon will be in the first house when it will be in the Sagittarius. As soon as it moves into the Capricorn it moves into second house for me. Similarly, since Moon is in the Virgo at the time this article is being written, it’s in the 10th house for me.

Once you understand this and note down your observations on your moods, thoughts, feelings, experiences, with respect to various house positions of Moon, for 27 days, you will be amazed to find that there will be certain sharp points of exaltation and depression for you. There are standard results in Vedic Astrology with respect to Moon’s various house positions, but, it would be great if you independently find out whether it works for you or not.

I have got astounding results, not only for myself but also for my friends and relatives by tracking Moon’s transits for many years now, which, in turn has bolstered my enthusiasm to research on other transits. Moon’s transits are easiest empirical experiments one can engage into if one is beginning to learn Vedic Astrology.

Anyone with more curiosity in this matter can contact me about his findings and can compare results with standard results. I will try to do another article for effects of various transits and we might also discuss on the concept of Vedha(obstruction in transit) in that article.

Meditation Cushions and Practice Postures

To calm the activity of our thoughts it is important that we understand the benefits to the mind and body that an aligned posture brings. The body’s role during our practice is to support our mind, freeing and positioning our body parts so we can maintain a single focal point. We begin with a posture that is stable, comfortable and pain-free. A quiet body permits a quiet mind.

There are two basic categories of postures, sitting and kneeling. It is imperative that you evaluate your posture prior to choosing both the positions and zafus best designed for your practice. Meditation cushions will be placed differently depending on your choice of position within the two basic categories. The preferred fill will also depend on your choice of posture. For information about posture, refer to my article entitled, Meditation Cushions and Posture.

Regardless of whether you decide to use seated or kneeling positions there are several ideal postural alignments. Your pelvis should be in a neutral position, not slumping forward or backward. Positioning yourself properly on your meditation cushions is important. Your spine should be erect with all its natural curves, neck and head should be in the center of your pelvic basin, and body weight needs to be distributed evenly between your sitting bones.

The seven point posture is a useful method to evaluate your alignment. Begin in front of a mirror. Your head should be tilted slightly forward by bending your neck; your gaze directed naturally toward the floor. Proper positioning of the head eliminates two types of distractions, agitation and sleepiness. If the head is positioned too high, it promotes excessive thinking; if too low it causes sleepiness. The tip of your tongue should touch the palate just behind your upper teeth reducing the amount of saliva. Your jaw should be relaxed and teeth slightly apart. Eyes may be either closed or slightly open gazing downward. An object such as a candle may be helpful for focusing. Keep your spine erect with all natural curves and let your arms hang loosely not pressed against your body. Forearms should rest on your thighs. Your right hand may sit atop the left with your palms positioned upward and fingers aligned.

The positioning of your legs will depend upon the type of posture you chose. There are numerous seated positions for which your legs and feet will be positioned differently. The most comfortable and balanced position will depend upon your muscle tone and posture. Crescent meditation cushions provide support to your thighs especially for those of us with tight hamstrings. Round meditation cushions or crescent meditation cushions will suit someone who has loose muscle tone. The fill of meditation cushions may be more significant so know whether a firm or flexible fill will provide the comfort you need. Meditation cushions filled with buckwheat hull easily mold to the body. Zafus filled with kapok are firm and maintain structure. The best shape and fill of meditation cushions for you depends upon your choice of practice position, which is the topic of my next article. Various hand and leg positions will be topics for future articles.

Hydrogen On Demand, Why Should Everyone Use It?

It might seem counter intuitive to most people, that you can use water to improve your automobiles fuel economy and reduce harmful emissions. The growing popularity of hydrogen on demand converters would indicate that this is not as distant as it might seem.

Many people may argue that there can be no energy gains, because the amount of energy used to electrolyze the water into hydrogen gas is equal to the energy released as the gas is ignited. This would be true if the hydrogen gas were the only thing that the engine was running on. When in fact, hydrogen gas runs in conjunction with the fuel the engine was built for, whether it be gasoline, diesel or propane.

The reasons that hydrogen on demand generators do actually work is slightly more complicated. Despite a high degree of skepticism it is possible that fuel economy can be improved by 40% or more.

There is an increasing range of hydrogen on demand converters, which can easily be fitted to any gasoline or diesel engine. For those of you who would like the challenge and satisfaction of building your own hydrogen on demand generator, there are also many plans and kits available.

Basic Principle

The basic principle of turning water into combustible gas is quite simple. Conductive plates are submerged in distilled water, which has an electrolyte such as baking soda, sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide added to it and a current is passed through the water. Hydrogen and Oxygen are then released as small bubbles which collect at the top of the container and combine to form what is known as, Brown’s gas, Green Gas or Rhodes gas.

This Hydrogen and Oxygen gas mixture has some remarkable properties. When ignited it burns at a low temperature, which will not even boil water and yet it can easily burn through four inches of steel when used in a cutting torch.

Increase Power

When Brown’s gas is fed into the carburetor inlet it will radically increase the octane level of the fuel. This increase of the octane level indicates the pressure under which fuel vapor will spontaneously ignite in the combustion chamber.

If the fuel has a low octane rating it is more likely to cause pinging. This happens when the fuel ignites due to compression, before the piston has reached the top of the cylinder during the compression phase. If expansion starts too early it will act against the upward movement of the piston and cause a reduction in power output.

Burns More Completely

The use of a hydrogen on demand will not only allow for more complete compression, but also allows the fuel to burn more completely, which adds more power. Brown’s gas acts as a catalyst so that fuel will burn at a lower temperature. Fuel requires heat to ignite, so if it burns at a lower temperature there is less energy lost in conversion. When the hydrogen gas turns to water there is also an internal cooling effect which reduces the chances of hot exhaust gasses causing pinging.

In the process there is also a significant reduction in carbon monoxide and at lower temperature there is less chance that oxides of nitrogen are formed. Apart from this it is also possible that there will not only be less carbon deposits in the engine, but that existing carbon deposits will be reduced which leads to less wear and longer engine life.

Easy To Install

Hydrogen on demand converters can easily be attached to any kind of vehicle. The electrical power is supplied by the engines alternator which is why the laws of conservation of energy are not relevant. The alternator will be producing a current whether that electrical charge is used or not, so the fact that it can be used to produce hydrogen is the best way to make an engine more efficient.

The units are normally very compact and can be mounted under the hood as long as they are not too close to any part of the engine which produces a lot of heat. There are no major changes which need to be made to the engine and the only adaptation which is required is to feed the pipe which supplies the gas into the air intake.

The system is also very safe, because the gas is used up as it is produced and does not require explosive gasses to be stored in a large tank on the vehicle. With all these advantages it is surprising that the hydrogen generator does not come factory fitted, but who knows, maybe one day it will be.
